Specifying Port Properties



To specify port properties:

  1. If you have not already done so, open or create a Symbol File (.sym) or a Block Symbol File (.bsf).

  2. If necessary, create a port.

  3. If the port already exists, select it.

  4. Choose Properties (Edit menu).  Shortcut

  5. In the Port Properties dialog box, click the General Tab.

  6. To specify the name of the selected port, type the name in the Name box.

  7. To specify the alias of the selected port, type the alias in the type the Alias.  More Details

  8. If necessary, turn on Hide alias when symbol is instantiated in design file.

  9. To specify the type of symbol (output, input, or bidirectional), select the type in the Type list.

  10. To specify the default status of the selected port, select Used or Unused in the Default Status list.

  11. Click OK.
