To specify ports properties for a symbol:

1. If you have not already done so, open or create a Block Design File (.bdf) or a Block Symbol File (.bsf).

2. Select the appropriate symbol.

3. Choose Properties (Edit menu).  Shortcut

4. In the Symbol Properties dialog box, click the Ports tab.

5. Under Port, specify Name, Status, Type, and Alias.  More Details

6. If necessary, under Inversion, turn on None, All, or Pattern.

7. If necessary, turn on Hide alias.  More Details

8. To set the current options in the Existing ports list, click Change.

9. Click any other tab to specify more symbol properties or click OK.
