WYSIWYG LCELL primitive <name> has illegal outputs when in multiplier mode


CAUSE:

The specified WYSIWYG LCELL primitive has illegal outputs when in multiplier mode. This message can occur for one of two reasons:

  • The WYSIWYG LCELL primitive is a multiplier output, but is using the multout port.

  • The WYSIWYG LCELL primitive is not a multiplier output, but has more than one fan-out.

If the WYSIWYG LCELL primitive is a multiplier output, it cannot use the multout port. If the WYSIWYG LCELL primitive is not a multiplier output, it must have only one fan-out from either the multout or regout port.

ACTION: If you are using an EDA tool, contact the technical support for the EDA tool regarding this message. Otherwise, contact Altera Applications for assistance.
