Can't determine whether entity <name> is LVDS receiver PLL or LVDS transmitter PLL

CAUSE:

The Fitter cannot determine whether the specified entity in the design is an LVDS receiver PLL or an LVDS transmitter PLL. This error can occur for one of the following reasons:

  • You did not connect the clock0 and clock1 ports of the LVDS receiver PLL or LVDS transmitter PLL. Both ports must be connected.

  • You connected the clock0 port of the LVDS receiver PLL or LVDS transmitter PLL to an LVDS receiver and an LVDS transmitter. You can connect the clock0 port to either an LVDS receiver or an LVDS transmitter, but not to both.

  • You connected the clock1 port of the LVDS receiver PLL or LVDS transmitter PLL to an LVDS receiver and an LVDS transmitter. You can connect the clock1 port to either an LVDS receiver or an LVDS transmitter, but not to both.

ACTION: To avoid receiving this message in the future, Altera recommends using the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager command (Tools menu) to instantiate the megafunction. Edit the design so that the clock0 and clock1 ports are connected correctly.
