CAUSE: | You created a design that contains the specified number of output pins, including the specified number of Output Enable signals implemented on logic cells. However, the selected device can contain only the specified number of output pins. In MAX 3000A, MAX 7000AE, and MAX 7000B devices, the only legal locations for a buried logic cell that drives an Output Enable signal take the position of a cell that drives an I/O pin. Therefore, these I/O pins are no longer available as outputs. However, such pins can still be used as inputs. You can use this I/O pin as an input pin, but not as an output pin. If you use the I/O pin as an output pin, the Output Enable signal cannot be implemented. |
ACTION: | Reduce the number of pins in the design, select a larger device, or partition the project among additional devices. |
