License file <name> does not exist. Compilation and simulation support is not available until or unless you specify a valid license file.


CAUSE: The Quartus II software could not find a valid license file when you started the software. The license file does not exist, the specified directory path is incorrect in your system environment, or the license file name is incorrect. You must specify a valid license file to be able to compile or simulate designs.
ACTION: Click OK to close the message dialog box, and then make sure that the file name and directory path are correct in your system environment. If a license file does not exist, obtain a valid license file from the Licensing section of the Altera web site which is available at www.altera.com/licensing.html and specify the license file in the Quartus II software.
