Can't open file <name>


CAUSE: You attempted to open a the specified Memory Initialization File (.mif) or Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) File (.hex) using the Open dialog box (File menu). However, the Quartus II software cannot find the specified file, or encountered an error while attempting to read the specified file. This message may indicate that the file does not exist, the file name is not valid, the file name does not have the required extension, the disk is full, available memory is insufficient to open the file, or an internal application error occurred when the Quartus II software attempted to open the file, or the file is read- or write-protected.
ACTION: Click OK to close the message dialog box, and then make sure the file exists and has the correct file name and extension, you have enough disk space and enough memory to open the file, the disk is not corrupted, and the disk is not read- or write-protected.
