| CAUSE: | Under Preferred text editor in the Text Editor General Options tab of the Options command (Tools menu), you selected the Other text editor path name box and specified the name of the external text editor box you want to use. However, the external text editor cannot operate until you close all text files opened in Quartus II Text Editor windows. |
