Quartus

Simulation was <successful, NOT successful, stopped, or canceled due to an error>

CAUSE:

You started a simulation. As a result, the Simulator performed one of the following actions:

  • Completed simulation either successfully or unsuccessfully.

  • Stopped simulation when you directed the Simulator to stop the process.

  • Canceled simulation due to an error.

The message text indicates which action occurred.

ACTION:

Click OK to close the message dialog box, and then perform one of the following actions:

  • You can locate the sources of error and/or warning messages in the Messages window.

  • If simulation was unsuccessful, you may need to edit the Vector Waveform File (.vwf) or the text-based Vector File (.vec), or the design file(s) for the project to simulate without errors.

  • If you stopped simulation, you can restart simulation from the beginning.

  • If simulation was successful, but the simulation coverage percentage is low, as indicated in the Summary section (Simulation Report), some input nodes may not have been used. Another possibility is that some logic is not attached to the inputs. You may need to edit the VWF or VEC File to include more of the nodes in the project to obtain truly meaningful simulation results.

  • If the Simulator canceled simulation due to an error, contact Altera Applications for assistance.
