Quartus

Down spread value <number>% is greater than <number>%

CAUSE: You specified a PLL with M, M2, N, or N2 internal parameters. As a result, the down spread value is greater than the specified value. However, the down spread value cannot be greater than the specified value. This warning usually occurs when you instantiate a megafunction directly in a text file rather than using the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager command (Tools menu).
ACTION: To avoid receiving this message in the future, Altera recommends using the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager command or changing the value of the M, M2, N, or N2 internal parameters to reduce the down spread value.
