Quartus

File <name> was changed outside the Quartus II software, or was rewritten due to an error in a settings and configuration file. Do you want to reload the file, losing some or all of the modifications you made since opening the file?

CAUSE: The specified file was modified outside the Quartus II software, or if the file is a settings and configuration file, the Quartus II software rewrote the file due to an error you made while manually editing the file. The open version of the file, which contains unsaved changes, is different from the saved version of the file, and the Quartus II software cannot allow two different versions of the same file to exist in the same directory. The Quartus II software is asking if you want to overwrite specified file, including any unsaved changes, with the more recent version of the file. If the file is a settings and configuration file, any sections with errors are excluded when the Quartus II software rewrites the file, and you may lose project settings you created.
ACTION: Click No to leave the file unchanged. If you are editing a settings and configuration file, click No to avoid losing important project settings, and then check the warning messages in the Messages window, and take action to correct the errors. If you want to avoid losing your edits, you can save the current file with a new name. Click Yes to incorporate the modifications made to the file outside the Quartus II software and possibly overwrite some or all of the changes you made since opening the file. To avoid receiving this message in the future, Altera recommends using the Quartus II software dialog boxes and wizards to modify settings, rather than editing settings and configuration files manually.
