CAUSE: | You opened a project in which the Compiler settings target the specified device, but that device does not belong to the current family. The Compiler is automatically choosing an appropriate device to target. The Quartus II software is asking if you want to remove all location assignments for the previous device. |
ACTION: | Click Yes to delete all location assignments or click No to leave the location assignments unchanged. If you do not delete the location assignments, some assignments may be illegal in the new device or device family. If the device chosen by the Compiler is appropriate for the design, then no further action is required. If you want to target a different device or device family for which you did install device support, specify a different device or device family for compilation. If you want to target a device or device family for which you have not installed support, you can reinstall the Quartus II software to add additional device support. You should also make sure that your license file is up to date and supports the device family you want to install. Contact Altera Applications or go to the Altera web site for more information. |
