Jurgen Kreyssig's FLEX 8000 Prototype Board

The FLEX8000 prototype board has been designed to to do a fast prototyping of designs developed during training courses. Additional circuitry can be added either on the prototype area or via additional boards that can be connected via several connectors.

This prototype board supports the 8282, 8452 and 8636 in PLCC84 packages. The FLEX device can be downloaded via a Bitblaster or Byteblaster or a serial configuration EPROM can be used.

In addition to different connectors the following functionality is available:

• Four 7-segment displays (multiplexed) together with the necessary driver.
• Reset logic
• Oscillator
• 5V regulator
• 4 DIL switches (one dedicated - ERPOM/download; three general purpose)
