Can't assign node to VREF pin <name> because pin uses an I/O standard that conflicts with I/O standard assigned to I/O bank at that location, or already has an entity or node assigned to it

CAUSE:

You assigned a node to the specified VREF pin. However, the Fitter cannot assign the node to the specified VREF pin during compilation due to one of the following reasons:

  • You assigned the pin an I/O standard that conflicts with the I/O standard assigned to the I/O bank at that particular location.

  • You have already assigned another node or entity to the selected location.

  • You assigned the node to an invalid pin location.

ACTION: Change the I/O standard for the I/O bank so it is compatible with the I/O standard for the VREF pin and change the assignments to the location so the Fitter does not place any other node or entity in the location, or assign the node to a valid VREF pin location.
