CAUSE: | You selected Device in the Settings dialog box, but the Quartus II software read an illegal device from the Compiler Settings File (.csf). You may have edited the CSF manually and specified an illegal device name. The Quartus II software cannot compile the project using the specified device and is switching to the default device. |
ACTION: | Click OK to close the message dialog box. If the device chosen by the Compiler is appropriate for the design, then no action is required. Otherwise, specify a different device. To avoid receiving this message in the future, Altera recommends using the Compiler Settings wizard or the Device page to specify a device, rather than editing the settings and configuration files manually. |
