Quartus

Compiler Settings File <name> already exists for another project. If you do not select a different top-level design entity name for the project you are creating, you may lose data from the other project. Do you want to select a different top-level design entity name?

CAUSE: The project directory you specified in the What is the working directory for this project box in the New Project wizard (File menu) contains a Compiler Settings File (.csf) with the same name as the top-level design entity you specified in the What is the name of the top-level design entity in your project box. When you create a new project, the Quartus II software automatically creates a CSF with the same name as the top-level design entity you specify, so the Quartus II software will overwrite the specified CSF with the new CSF of the same name. The Quartus II software is asking if you want to select a new top-level design entity name so that you do not delete any existing Compiler settings.
ACTION: Click Yes to return to the New Project wizard and rename the top-level design entity, or click No to use the top-level design entity name you specified and overwrite the existing CSF with the new CSF you are creating.
