This board definitely deserves your consideration. A simple, well-built board designed the way all development boards should have been designed.

Albert Lindmeier's Prototyping Board for FLEX 8000 Devices
This guy works as a field application engineer within Altera, so obviously he must be knowing what he is doing!

Prof. Dr. Juergen Kreyssig's FLEX 8000 Prototype Board
Mr. Kreyssig developed his own prototyping board for educational purposes, which support several FLEX 8000 devices.
